This is an eight story high reinforced concrete building on pad foundation with a system of interconnecting ground beams. Completed in May 2009, the IBM building is one of the few high rise building at the Petone waterfront. The building’s structural system consists of fully ductile moment frames in both the longitudinal and transverse directions, with precast ribbed floors.
