We have worked with Irving Jack Architects on this public project for the Nelson City Council.The complex is located in CBD of Nelson City, accomodating DOC in one building while the other building is used as retail and office space. The first floor structure is composite structural steel and it has a large structural steel roof supporting metal purlins and roofing. Reinforced concrete shear walls provide the required lateral resistance. The large structural steel roof from the DOC occupied building forms a canopy covering a central walkway which separates the two buildings in the complex.
