Clendon Burns & Park ltd has operated as a firm of Consulting Structural and Civil Engineers in Wellington for over 60 years. Originally formed in 1947 by Wilf Edwards who was then joined in practice by Tom Clendon in the early 1950's to become Edwards & Clendon. The firm merged with A G Park and Partners in 1985 to form Clendon Burns & Park Ltd.

 

Current personnel have a strong background in all aspects of structural engineering, design and construction, as well as a familiarity with most building materials. We have been involved in projects ranging from residential buildings to large multi-storey developments worth several hundred million dollars.

 

These have been constructed locally in Wellington, nationally throughout New Zealand and overseas in Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Middle East, and the Pacific Basin.

 

The focus of Clendon Burns & Park Ltd has always been to provide quality engineering services in the most cost effective manner for their Clients. To achieve this, we have been at the forefront of structural engineering development, particularly in the fields of computer applications for building structural design, analyses, value engineering, specialist structural engineering and earthquake engineering.

 

Three years ago we began developing expertise in BIM (Building Information Modelling) with the office changing its draughting platform from AutoCAD Architecture Desktop to AutoDesk Revit Structure. Now Clendon Burns & Park Ltd is at the forefront of 3-D design in New Zealand having completed many large and small projects using these techniques.
